Outpatient activity

The new source of official statistics for outpatient activity in Wales from 2012-13 onwards is the Outpatient Activity Minimum Dataset (OP MDS). A overlap year (2011-12) has been published to provide a comparison with the old source of official statistics the QueSt1 (QS1) return. Please read the Statistical Article ‘Outpatient Activity Minimum Dataset: publication of data and discussion of data quality’ for more information on how to compare between the two sources.

Information is included by NHS organisation, hospital site and treatment function. Measures such as new attendances, total attendances and outpatients appointments who did not attend are included.
