This dataset gives details on all port traffic inwards and outwards at ports in Wales up to the year 2023. Data are presented as the volume of traffic (million tonnes) at ports in the UK.

Data collection and calculation

Port freight traffic statistics are based on a combination of data reported to the DfT by port authorities and shipping lines or their agents.

The statistics relate to cases in Wales from 2004 up to the year 2023.
