This dataset gives details on road freight imports and exports carried by road, by UK registered HGVs, in Wales and the UK. Data are presented as goods lifted (the weight of goods carried, measured thousand tonnes) and goods moved (the weight of goods carried, multiplied by the distance hauled, measured in million tonne-kilometres).Data collection and calculation
Road freight statistics are based on a data collected by the Department for Transports 3 road freight surveys, the Continuing Survey of Road Goods Transport, Great Britain (CSRGT GB), the Continuing Survey of Road Goods Transport, Northern Ireland (CSRGT NI), and the International Road Haulage Survey (IRHS).Frequency of publication
