General description

The information is based on an annual statistical return.

The information is collected to monitor the number of adults who paid the maximum weekly charge towards the cost of care and support or support for carers during the year

Data collection and calculation

While extensive efforts have been made to gather reliable and accurate information from local authorities, 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 data remains imperfect.

Caerphilly was unable to provide data in 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19.

In 2017-18 Newport was only able to provide data up until the 6th March 2018. This was due to Newport migrating to a new ICT system during the year. The Vale of Glamorgan was unable to provide data in 2017-18. This was due to technical issues with their ICT systems.
