General description
A study of low carbon energy projects in Wales.

Data collection and calculation
The study combines data from existing administrative data sets (including Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy data and government scheme data) and a survey of stakeholders (including local authorities, public and third sector organisations).

Frequency of publication
Every two years

Data reference periods
2014 onwards

Statistical quality
Through combining administrative and survey information, the study aims to achieve complete coverage of low carbon energy projects in Wales.

For a small number of low carbon energy projects it is not possible to identify the local authority. In the case, the projects are included under an 'unknown' category, but are included within the Wales total.

Keywords
Low carbon, renewable, energy, capacity, generation, electricity, heat.
