The table shows performance measures for pupils aged 17 in Wales. Data can be viewed for each year, by gender (Boys, Girls, All Pupils), by Local Authority and by regional consortia.

Data collection and calculation

The figures in this table are based on information collected annually as part of the Welsh Examinations Database (WED) collection and the Pupil level Annual School Census (PLASC). Examinations data are collected from awarding organisations and have been checked by schools.

Data reference periods

The data shown is collected annually after the end of year exams have been completed. The data is shown from 1996 and is updated each year to show the latest academic year's results. Each year refers to the academic year, for example from 1st of September 2014 to the 31st August 2015.
