Gross Value Added

Gross Value Added estimates the total output of an economy. GVA data is available by NUTS area and by industry. At a NUTS1 level it is also split by component - Compensation of Employees (wages and salaries largely) and Gross Operating Surplus/Mixed Income (self employment income, business profits etc).

Revision note
ONS published revisions to GVA data for NUTS3 areas by industry on 13 July 2016. NUTS1 and NUTS2 estimates are unchanged. StatsWales has been updated to reflect the revised estimates.
